Katrina’s studying

It was a warm Friday night in autumn. Katrina and Skylar were eating dinner. Suddenly, Katrina thought of a math quiz she had coming up on Monday.

Katrina asked if Skylar could help her study after dinner. Skylar thought for a minute about what Katrina had asked, took a bite of her chicken, and told Katrina, “I should be able to squeeze in some time after dinner.”

Katrina nibbled at her roll and then she wondered if Skylar really was going to help. Sometimes when Skylar volunteered, she never ended up helping, but Katrina knew she was out of other options.

Skylar brought out the dessert that Grace made earlier that day the desserts where an apple pie and pumpkin pie

Skylar served herself a slice of pumpkin pie and added some whipped cream.

The next morning was Saturday and Katrina still wasn’t done studying so she asked Skylar for help again. Skylar thought and answered “I guess I could help a little!” “Thank you Skylar” Katrina said joyfully as she poured herself a generous amount of syrup.
